Miss Birch

Hi everyone :)

I hope that you are all well.

I have been keeping busy by going for nice long walks and enjoying the sunshine.

Next week is a very important week as it is the final week in school for me in the bubble groups. I have really enjoyed working with the children in Year 6 and I wish them all the very best for their next stage in their journey.

I hope you all enjoyed coming in to school last Wednesday. It was GREAT to see you! laughyes

Keep in touch! mail

If I don't speak to some of you before, have a great summer and stay safe,

See you in September,

Miss Birch. smiley

Mr Harding

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all adjusting to our new temporary lives. It has been very strange for all of us I imagine and believe me I have had to adjust as well. Teaching a child in nursery, year 1 and year 3 at the same time isn’t as easy as I thought, and they don’t seem to care much that I work as a teacher.

I have been doing lots of gardening and art with my family, we have a daily routine which we do quite well at sticking to (some days better than others).

We do Joe Wickes’ PE lesson in the mornings and then try to do a bit of schoolwork. We have half an hour for reading and being read to after lunch and then we have time in the garden and tv time. We try to get out for an hour running around in the local field and play a family game after teatime, although this has caused many arguments.

I would love to see what you have been up to, so feel free to e-mail me at year4@dovecote.school and share what you’ve been doing.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Stay busy and imaginative.

Mr Harding

Miss Draper

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all well!

As well as missing all of you I'm missing the sunshine! Although I know we have needed some rain, especially the gardens so I will accept that, as long as it comes back soon!

I’ve been having a look through our school website. The teachers have been putting some great activities to do on there, I think I'm going to try some, especially like the time capsule letter!

I've also enjoyed reading about what some of you have been up to. Love your artwork and your baking inspired me to have a go (well, it made me hungry!!)

Here is my attempt, it actually tasted better than it looks, hence me not being able to get a photo of the full cake, yum yum!!

The teachers been having lots of meetings and chats this past week over the Internet, it has been really nice to see and hear everyone, through a camera screen at least!

I've finally finished my diamond painting, it took me a long time as it is so fiddly but I persevered and here it is:

I've put it in a frame and hung it on my bedroom wall and when the sun hits it really sparkles!! I've got a new one to start now and I know that Mrs Whittington has also just started one.

I've still been walking and jogging, not as much because of the weather, but I'm still spotting some Dovecote children getting their exercise too.

Have you noticed the beautiful sunsets in the evenings?? We have seen some really pretty ones, my son likes to take photos of them.  Our dog Coco had to get involved!!

It would be great to hear what you have all been up to?

Keep happy and healthy
