Hello Dragons and Wombles

Here we are again at the start of another week of learning from home using ideas from the website, the internet and of course your brilliant parents and carers who are working hard to be teachers too.

This has been a very busy few weeks in school settling year 6 back into a new style of schooling and getting ready for year 1. If you have any brothers or sisters in these year groups please ask them to tell you more.about what they have been doing and how they feel.

We started last week with the news that when we come back to school in September, however it is organised,  we will be in the classes we left for half a term, catching up with each other and some important work before moving into a new class in October. We were very happy with this news as there is so much we still want to do with you all and we have missed you so much we want the chance to spend some time together. Just watch this space for any updates or email us if you have any questions.

Back to next weeks homeworking ideas and hopefully you willl love the author of the week: David Walliams and the links we have made to other subjects. There are some strange and creative ideas for art and science and a chance to create glitter jars that are beautiful and calming too.

As usual have a go at whatever you can. Have fun and enjoy learning more.

This week's lessons are all about multiplication and division.

Don't worry if you can't download and print the worksheets, just watch the videos and pause to work things out when you need to. If you need to do a jotting you could just use a piece of scrap paper.

If you're looking for more don't forget the whole school maths challenge. Just go to the whole school page to check it out.

Go for Gold - week 12.

This weeks physical challenge is all about targeting and knocking down skittles. Follow the instructions to see how many you can knock down.
