Home Learning 13/7/20

Hello Year 1 and welcome to another week of home learning!

In the summer term, Year 1 take a trip to Twycross Zoo. We can't do that this year, but we can learn a lot about the different types of animals we would have spotted there!

Explore the BBC Bitesize website (links below), but don't stop there. Learn about the habitats, food chains and try your hand at some fun art activities.

This week, we are also looking forward to our Year 1 End of Year Picnic. We hope you can make it. Please take another look at the 'guidance' on our main Year 1 page before you attend.

Have fun and stay safe!

Science - All about animals!

Chester Zoo have been updating their Virtual Zoo page. You can learn about the various animals and the day to day running of the zoo. Take some time to explore from the comfort of your home!

Chester Virtual Zoo

We know that some of you have visited a zoo recently, as they are starting to open. We would love to hear about your experiences!

This week, we will also be thinking about climates and habitats. How have animals adapted to live in different parts of the world?

We will be looking near and far to compare different climates, from the polar regions to the desert.

Then, we will be looking at habitats nearer to home. What kinds of animals are on our doorstep?
