ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
Dovecote Primary School & Nursery is a Good-rated school in Clifton, Nottingham. The school accepts 60 pupils a year. Admissions for September 2022 are now open and close after Christmas.
The goal of staff at Dovecote is that the school is a place where everyone is valued and that children come first. We believe in our children and aim to inspire and support them to reach their full potential in body, mind and spirit.

How the admissions process works
Dovecote is a community school and as such the Local Authority, Nottingham City Council, co-ordinates applications for places in Reception and for transfers from other schools (an in-year transfer).
However, if you would like your child to attend our Nursery, you should apply directly to the school.
Applying for a place in Reception
Parents/carers resident in Nottingham City need to apply to the Local Authority and complete an application form. This can be done by clicking the button below.
Alternatively, you can contact the School Admissions Team on 0115 8415568, by email at schooladmissions@nottinghamcity.gov.uk or by post at School Admissions Team, Pupil and School Services, Loxley House, Station Street, Nottingham NG2 3NG and request an application form.
For parents/carers NOT resident in Nottingham City and wishing to apply for a Reception place for their child, applications must be made on the relevant application form provided by their current home local authority.

Applying for a Nursery place
We have a 52-place Nursery and children can attend either morning or afternoon sessions. We offer 30 hours’ provision to eligible families, subject to demand/space. We offer this to N2 children who qualify and who we feel are developmentally ready.
It is currently optional for the school to offer 30 hours’ provision and we can only currently offer it in a way that works for our existing staff ratios.
